Helmet Redux: A Repost

You really have to read this fantastic post on helmets.

I just started, but it’s really worth it. Here’s a taste:

“Because the interesting aspect of helmet research is not so much how they affect your chances surviving an accident, but how they affect your chances of having an accident. It all comes back to how road users behave, and there are reasons to believe that helmet use could change people’s behaviour in a way that increases the accident rate.”

I wrote about this earlier, but here’s an even better breakdown especially of the scienfitic framework that one needs before one can even say what “safe” means.

Thank-you, thank-you so much!

I feel a little less alone now.
