Soundbites
No money, no rights - If you argue against government spending toward your hobby (aka cycling) you are arguing against rights for it. This is seen when looking at the cognitive bias of the sunk cost fallacy amoung others.
Your mode, your responsibility – This means that if you pick a mode of transportation, you should be responsible for everyone you hurt. For example, I try not to hit pedestrians. If I do, I don’t think that the excuse, “he stepped in front of me” is legitimate because you should have control over your vehicle at all times. If you can not control your vehicle, you shouldn’t be allowed to have one because you are a danger to others.
Thus, we shouldn’t hear things like, “he was wearing black so I hit him.”
